I remember working at Forever 21 and the Visual Manager (at the time) teaching his team (three of us, including me) it's not possible to wear a flowy top and bottom.
I recall putting my 2 cents in only to be laughed at. I continued listening out of humiliation (the team hated me and bullied me everyday). We have all heard opposites attract, right? Wrong. It's all about not staying safe and making it the clothes work. Make it your own and stand proud of your sense of style. I remember a stranger at Starbucks this day giving a compliment while stating the fact they would have never put the top and bottom together. I felt like fashion inspiration, I had a moment. Kind of like when you're scrolling on Pinterest and hit that save button to one of your boards. 😂

I wanted to go back to my original true to self style with this shoot, bohemian. Comfortable, lounge around, and with a touch of romantic whimsical aesthetic. I always have to wear heels so I matched my gladiator nude heels with the look to keep it as low-key as possible.
My top is naturally slouchy and wide so I tied it into a knot to balance the silhouettes. My maxi skirt is from Target and the waist line is a but bulky so if you are looking to wear a tight top with it I'd suggest wearing a belt with it at your waist line.
By the way my purse is no longer in stock so I linked a couple identical options from one of my favorite stores, Target.
I wore a soft blue bralette from the Spring 18' color trends. It added delicacy and a slight sexy touch to this look. I love off the shoulder, cold shoulder, and one shoulder tops. It always strikes me as sexy yet modest.
